My review of the book Gothikana: A Dark Academia Gothic Romance.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐5, excellent.
A Captivating and haunting story that will leave you turning pages non stop. A story about a girl who goes to a school to get a fresh start but she finds love, mystery and a past that just won't leave her alone.
Corvina (who is our lead female protagonist) receives a letter join the mysterious Verenmore school. She looks at it for a chance to begin a new life away from the judgement of people who know her. Upon arrival she forms a bond with a bubbly girl and two of them become inseparable. She also falls in love with an unlikely male Vad (who is also her professor but we are not judging). Things are not what they seem at Verenmore and Corvina finds herself surrounding by secrets and mysteries that some are willing to go to deadly lengths to keep.
As usual Runyx never disappoints. Gorthikana transports you into a world fool of mystery, love and betrayal. It has all the ingredients to a bestseller book and worth reading a second time or even a third time. I can't wait for Arkana to be released. I'd love to see how the story continues 😊.
