Before we get into the review I have to confess that these lovely books were recommended to me by bookstagram so thanks bookstagram fam.
BOOK ONE: THESE HOLLOW VOWS
A Court of Thornes and Roses meets Cruel Prince. Brie a human girl lives a life full despair, heartbreak and anguish. Trapped in an unfair contract by her aunt, Brie has no choice but to slave away to ensure that her sister doesn't face a worse fate. But her efforts are wasted when her sister is sold into slavery to the king of the unseelie court. Brie knows better than to make a deal with a fae but for her sister she is willing to go to any lengths.
Faerie isn't what it seems. there she discovers that the human man Sebastian she's deeply in love with turns out to be not only fae but the heir to the Seelie court. Unwilling to let her heart distract her, she accepts help from a band of unseelie rebels and develops an attraction to their mysterious leader Finn. Caught between two dangerous courts, Brie must decided where her loyalty lies and where her heart lies.
BOOK TWO: THESE TWISTED BONDS
Two princes. Two hearts. One woman. Brie is caught up between two princes. The bond between her and Sebastian prevents her from having what she craves the most. Still reeling from both Sebastian's and Finn's betrayal, Brie doesn't know who to trust. Now on the run she forms an alliance with an unlikely court.
With war brewing in the Court of Darkness, Brie finds herself unable to choose a side. She's torn between two sides. The court she has grown to love and the man she loves more than anything. It seems like the prophecies are true and Brie has a role to play in it whether she likes it or not. Hopefully at the end of it all her heart will still be whole.
These books are filled with exciting adventures and full of betrayal. They are definitely a 5 star read.
